$11,500 Delivered to Riley for Memory Boxes

We are excited to be writing our first post to the Peyton’s Promise, Inc. website. It has been a busy and challenging 6 months, and we have some updates that we want to share with you.

First and foremost, we want to thank everyone for the support, contributions, and continued thoughts and prayers that let us know that Peyton is still in so many of our hearts. We also want to thank everyone who volunteered for, attended and/or contributed to the First Annual Peyton’s Promise Golf Outing. The outpouring of support exceeded everyone’s expectations and was a huge success.

After a Peyton’s Promise, Inc. dinner outing at Applebee’s to raise additional funds and more donations contributed after the golf outing, we were pleased to be able to donate $11,500 to the Riley Children’s Foundation for the memory boxes on August 23, 2015.

While it was difficult returning to Riley for the first time since we lost Peyton, we were proud to be able to help so many other families dealing with the loss of a child. We have been told by several Riley employees how important these memory boxes are to them and to the families who receive them.

We will continue to work with Riley to monitor the need for more memory boxes as well as other tangible needs. In fact, we spoke with a Child Life Specialist today who gave us a couple of good ideas for our next major fundraiser, and we will continue to coordinate with the Riley Children’s Foundation to identify new and ongoing needs.
